Ty Woods and Floyd Griffin receive awards

(Left) Floyd Griffin, funeral director at Pierce Brothers Stetler Mortuary, received the Funeral Director of the Year award for all of the Service Corporation International Mortuaries (six) in Ventura County. (Right) Also receiving Mortuary Manager of the Year from the same company is Pierce Brothers Stetler General Manager Ty Woods. This is the first time in Ventura County that both awards were given to the same mortuary. The awards were given to Floyd and Ty at a banquet in Westlake Village by Vice President Lawrence W. Michael. Floyd and Ty were noted as saying that “We are proud to receive these awards so that ‘our community’ knows that we have the best employees to serve families at the worst time of their lives.”Photo by Debbie Johnson
