Ruby Ellen Vaughan Ruby Ellen (Boyd) Vaughan, 94, of Everett, Washington, stepped into eternity with her Lord on December 20, 2002.She was born June 9, 1908 near Troy, Iowa, the daughter of Glen Howard Boyd and Margaret May Priscilla Salmons. She married Carl Albert Horn; they had a son and daughter. They divorced approximately 1940.She later married Frank Vaughan. They owned Vitaloy Piston Manufacturing in Los Angeles. They retired after many years. She lived in Santa Paula until February 2001, when she moved to her granddaughter’s home in Lake Stevens, Washington when her failing health would no longer allow her to live alone.She was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Manchester Lodge, Los Angeles, and Calvary Baptist Church in Santa Paula. She traveled in her retirement years and always enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She counted them as her blessings, along with her church. She volunteered time to several organizations, like Meals on Wheels.
Ruby is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Merlin and Dorothy Horn, and son-in-law Richard Davis; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank and daughter, Arlene Davis.Memorial contributions can be made to Calvary Baptist Church, Santa Paula, or Snohomish County Hospice. Arrangements under the care of Solie Funeral Home, Everett, Washington.
