Girls volleyball teams split Santa Clara matches

The Lady Cardinal volleyball teams had mixed results at SAnta Clara High School last week. The Frosh/Soph and JV girls both won their matches, 2-0. The freshman girls took their two games 15-13 and 15-5. The Jv squad was up next and easily dispatched the Saints 15-1 and 15-12. Mariana Hernandez had four aces for the Lady Cards. Kellyn Brooks had two aces, along with four kills and four assists. Aracely Navarro recorded two aces and two assists. That left the JV team with an 11-4 overall record and 4-1 in the Frontier League.The Varsity girls didn’t do as well. Santa Clara beat the Lady Cardinals, 3-2.
