Don Daniel 

Don Daniel, age 76 of Santa Paula went home to be with the lord on October 17th 2015 in Santa Paula.  He was born in Frederick, Oklahoma on August 11th, 1939.  He was a Santa Paula resident for the past 56 years.  Don worked for the Santa Paula Packing House for two years before becoming a lineman for Southern California Edison, where he worked for 15 years.  During this time, he invested in rental properties in Santa Paula and Ventura.  In 1986 he bought a 13 acre citrus ranch in Santa Paula which he still owns today.  He was a member of Lifeway Baptist Church where he was a Deacon, trustee and board member for Westside Preschool.  He loved his church and the people in it.  He managed the church food pantry along with his best friend Billy Timms that fed the needy people of Santa Paula.  Don managed and worked on the construction of the new educational building at his church.  Don loved Westside Preschool and all the children that attended it through the years.  

He was preceeded in death by his mother Quida Leona Hopkins Daniel, his father Clyde Gibson Daniel, six sisters and one brother.  

Don is survived by his wife Shirley, two sons; Mike and his wife Tina and Jeff, three grandsons; Austin, Bryson and Adam, all of whom reside in Santa Paula.  One brother in law, Don Nutt and wife Patricia of Nevada, and three nephews which reside in Oklahoma.  

Services will be held at Lifeway Baptist Church, 673 West Santa Paula Street at 10:00AM, Saturday October 24, 2015.  Graveside service to follow at Santa Paula Cemetery.  Pastor Bob Walpole will be officiating the service.  Arrangements are under the direction of Skillin-Carroll Mortuary, Santa Paula.
