The Southern California Regional champion Vaqueros led the four-team field. Fullerton (650) earned second, the Northern California champion Canada College (664) took third, and Modesto (696) placed fourth.

Santa Barbara Vaqueros win state golf title

Santa Barbara City College earned their third CCCAA Women’s Golf State Championship in the last eight years on Tuesday.
Megan Herrera, the daughter of Bill and Kathy Herrera and the granddaughter of Bill and Maiya Herrera of Santa Paula,turned in an 82 as Santa Barbara shot 329 for a 646 total. The Southern Cal Regional champs beat Fullerton by four shots and Northern Cal champ Canada by 18.
Jackie Ramirez and Herrera, a sophomore, were the only Vaqueros who shot better than their first-round score, improving by three and six strokes, respectively.
