Glen City Elementary School Turkey Trot

On Thursday, November 21st, Glen City Elementary School hosted their annual Turkey Trot.  

Due to the rainy weather and muddy areas, the students ran a modified track.  All of the grade levels competed separately one race for the boys and one for the girls in each grade.  The first three places won prizes.  The 1st place winner won a gift certificate for a turkey and the second and third place winners won a fabulous pumpkin pie.  Over 400 students ran trying to win these great prizes.  The winners were: 5th grade:  1st place Eduardo Gonzalez and Gabriela Magana, 2nd place: Daniel Tellez and Leslie Magana, 3rd place: David Herrejon and Yarixa Rico;  4th grade:  1st place Elijah Ramos and Kimberly Partida, 2nd place: John Tellez and Stephanie Rodriguez, third place Juan Medina and Cassandra Tapia; 3rd grade: 1st place Kevin Guerrero and Jahzara Santos, 2nd place Josiah Guzman and Joselin Ramirez, 3rd place: Jacob Munoz and Rosa Meza; 2nd grade: Ezequiel Mendez-Magana and Lisset Magana, 2nd place Jonathan Manzano and Esmeralda Flores, 3rd place: Cristian Moreno and Rayza Duarte;1st grade:1st place:  Aaron Gonzalez and Destiny Ruiz, 2nd place: Manuel Vasquez and Jocelyn Aguilera, 3rd place: tie Adam Hernandez and Santiago Machuca and Maria Ortiz, Kindergarten: 1st place:  Alvin Morales and Karla Lezama, 2nd place Cristian Castrejon and Kayli Torres, 3rd place Nathan Lopez and Angela Aguilera.
