These 8th graders spent an entire school year raising funds so they could attend the trip to Washington D.C. The class left on June 15 and returned June 24. Trip highlights included visiting the exterior of the White House, Mt. Vernon, the Vietnam Memorial, the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials and the World War II and Iwo Jima Memorials. The class also visited and placed a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington Cemetery.
