Of the unseen, beware… but walk with us if you dare! GhostWalk® 2012 is in its 18th year, running the weekends of October 12-14, 19-21 and 26-28 in Santa Paula.
Presented annually to benefit the Santa Paula Theater Center, GhostWalk®) is an hour-long guided tour of vintage Santa Paula neighborhoods featuring historical and architectural history of the City of Santa Paula. Along the way, participants will encounter a number of lost souls who will thrill them with the story of their untimely demise. The scripts incorporate colorful, historic locations and events about Santa Paula’s early residents.
Tickets for GhostWalk® are $15 for adults, $8 for students and children 7 and over. A special $10 adult ticket is available for the first weekend only. Reservations can be made by calling the Haunt Line: 805-525-3073.
This year’s GhostWalk® will take place in the Oaks, an eclectic community on the outskirts of the east end of the city. The first tour leaves at 6:30 p.m. and the last at 9 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings from the ticket tents at 999 Cliff Drive. Signs will direct patrons to enter the Oaks area by taking Ojai Road to Say Road. Turn right at Say Road and continue down until it turns left at Cliff Drive. You will be directed to park all along Cliff Drive.
While adult tickets are $15 each, during the first weekend this price is dropped to $10. Students and children 7 and older pay $8. No infants or strollers, please. This year’s route IS wheelchair accessible. Advance reservations are recommended, and can be made by calling the Haunt Line at 805-525-3073 as of October 1. Walk-ups are welcome, but tickets are not guaranteed.
Please wear comfortable walking shoes. A flashlight is absolutely necessary, as there are no streetlights in the Oaks community.
