Carl and Katherene Plasch celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on June 16th. They were married in Los Angeles on June 14, 1936. They currently reside at Hillview Estates.

Carl and Katherene Plasch celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on June 16th. They were married in Los Angeles on June 14, 1936. They currently reside at Hillview Estates.The party was hosted by their three sons and their wives, Gordon and Dawn from Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Richard and Peggy from Fremont, California, and Bruce and Gyneth from Honolulu, Hawaii. There were guests from Oregon, Northern California, from Palm Desert, Apple Valley, Ramona, and many from Ventura.After returning from service in the Navy in World War II, Carl had his own landscaping business for 20 years in La Crescenta and Glendale. After moving to Ventura, he worked for the school district for several years. He then volunteered at Easter Seal, the Green Door, and at Hillview Estates. He gardens as his hobby.
Katherene worked in Glendale for the phone company, for Selective Service in Pasadena and Ventura, and retired from Point Mugu in 1981. She was a Cub Scout leader, PTA president, a Pink Lady, and helped at Community Assistance (CASP) in Santa Paula.They have seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews, many who attended the party.
