The Athletic and Development Offices at Villanova Preparatory School in Ojai have joined forces to sponsor the 2012 Wildcat Classic Golf Tournament.

The Tournament will be held at 9 a.m. on Sunday, May 6th at Soule Park in Ojai.

The Wildcat Golf Classic began in the 1980s to establish a scholarship endowment in honor of Fr. John Glynn, O.S.A, Villanova’s most beloved headmaster. Each year the Fr. John Glynn, O.S.A. Scholarship Fund provides tuition assistance to students from families who demonstrate financial need. About 40 percent of Villanova Prep students receive financial assistance of some kind.

The 50/50 split with Athletics allows Wildcat fans to support the very robust and inclusive competitive athletics program. Villanova Prep offers basketball, water polo, soccer, swimming, baseball, softball, tennis, track, volleyball, surfing and golf.

The entry fee per player is $150 and includes contests, lunch and dinner, and all the typical tournament amenities, (carts, souvenirs, etc.). Tee signs are $250. Sponsorships that include a foursome, range from $1000, to $7500. For $2500 donors may designate a specific team sport as beneficiary of their sponsorship.
