The Oaks Christian boys soccer team hosted the Santa Paula boys for the first Tri-Valley league match of the year.
The Santa Paula JV won 2-0. Erick Ambriz scored first off a follow up shot and Diego Tinajero scored the second goal.
In the Varsity game Oaks went up 2-0 during the first 20 minutes of the game off two corner kicks. The Cardinals got one back when Pedro Magana made a great pass to Gonzalo Cisneros who scored. The score at half was 2-1. Cisneros added a second goal for Santa Paula when David Arana played a nice through ball.
The game was close the rest of the way until Oaks scored a last goal with 1 minute left in the game. The final score 3-2 Oaks.
