Chamber golf tourney biggest ever this year

The annual Santa Paula Chamber of Commerce has finished signing up players for its’ annual golf tournament, coming May 31 at the Mountain View Golf Course. Some new Corporate sponsors have joined the list, bringing the total this year to 30. The sponsors this year are: Santa Barbara Bank and Trust, McCoy’s Automotive, First Western Bank, P.W. Environmental (two teams), Vista 126 Ford, Lazer Broadcasting, Round Table Pizza, Quinn Company, Travis Agricultural Construction, Limoneira Company, Frank’s Paint and Hardware, Howard Geer Insurance, Bank of America (two teams), Santa Paula Chevrolet, Heritage Hardware, Santa Clara Valley Disposal, Burhoe Construction, Fruit Growers Laboratory, Lazer Leveling, Mulholland Positioning, Timbur Engineering Corp., Ada Meyers, Rain For Rent, APW-Car Quest, Mission Uniforms, Ortiz Trucking and Ranches, Sather’s Insurance Service, Santa Paula Memorial Hospital, Consolidated Disposal Services and Tosco Distribution.Additional barbecue tickets are still available at $10 each.There are several contests for players this year. They include, new cars for a hole-in-one on the 11th and 16th holes (cars provided by Santa Paula Chevrolet and Vista 126 Ford), a used car for the closest to the pin shot on the 18th hole (provided by McCoy’s Automotive), and three different putting contests. Other ways to win are the longest drive on the 15th hole and the most accurate drive on the 9th hole.
