Santa Paula News

Families of members of The Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clara Valley were grateful recipients of turkey dinners, complete with turkey and all the fixings, provided by the kindness and generosity of Scott & Cynthia Dunbar, Troop Real Estate - Santa Paula and Fillmore, and their friends and supporters. 87 turkeys, pounds of potatoes, cans of vegetables and bags of rolls were delivered to the Club on Monday, November 21st by Scott, Cynthia and staff.

The turkey dinners were split between the parents of both the Santa Paula Clubhouse and the Fillmore Clubhouse, providing a traditional dinner for families that would have gone without for the holiday. Each Clubhouse held back two turkeys that they cooked and served to their members the afternoon before the holiday, which the youth devoured without hesitation!

This is the seventh year that Troop Real Estate has been providing meals for the Club’s families and this tradition is very much appreciated. The Board and Staff of the Club thank Scott and Cynthia for their concern and involvement in the community and service to its families. They remind all of us just what Thanksgiving is all about! Giving thanks and helping those who are less fortunate than ourselves.
