There were 15 girls from Santa Paula in the Thousand Oaks Girls’ Tournament. Katie Black was on top at 114 pounds with a second place win. At 118 pounds, Maria Ramirez place sixth; 126 pounds, Justine Jue took second and 189 pounds, Jennifer Juarez was fifth.

Cardinal wrestlers did well at several weekend matches.
At the Thousand Oaks Novice Tournament Santa Paula had nine entrants and they went away with three medals. Miguel Garcia took first place at 140 pounds with three wins and one pin. Alejandro Banuelos, wrestling at 215 pounds, place second in his class with three pins and a loss. Eric Lopez took sixth at 171 pounds.
In the Frosh Thousand Oaks Tourney five boys represented the Cardinals. Robert Castillo took first place at 103 pounds and Elijah Lee was fourth at 119 pounds.
