SPTC marks 25th anniversary

In honor of its 25th anniversary, the Santa Paula Theater Center held public tours of the Theater, which is the historic Ebell Clubhouse. The free event was held Saturday August 14.

Board members and Theater volunteers were on hand to lead tours, taking visitors behind the scenes and revealing some of the secrets of the building. Also providing historical insights to visitors were current members of the Ebell Club, for whom the building was designed and constructed in 1917.

Santa Paula Theater Center was started in 1985 by two veteran stage, screen and television actors, Bill Lucking and the late Dan Elcar, both then Santa Paula residents who wanted to bring high quality, cutting edge theater to Ventura County.
