The Oxnard Gem and Mineral Society will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 6 in the Ventura Room of the Oxnard Community Center, 800 Hobson Way, Oxnard.
The program will be a presentation on “Opals – Chameleon of a Thousand Colors” by Fred and Charlotte Ward, including photos from Fred’s work with National Geographic magazine. There will be opals from many sites, with an open discussion on mining, processing, sales and care.
