She is survived daughter Jane David of Fillmore, son John (wife Kim) of Ventura, son James (wife Alice) of Santa Paula, and grandchildren Nicholas, Samantha, Nathan, Vincent and Lynn. She is also survived by her brother Alfred Christiansen of Michigan, brother Donald Christiansen of Pinole, CA, and twin sister Ruth Bruggeman of Nebraska.She was preceded in death by her husband Leo, sister Ilene Graham and brother Gerald Christiansen.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Trinity Lutheran Church Youth Fund, 196 N. Ashwood Ave., Ventura, CA 93003.Graveside services will be held at Pierce Brothers Santa Paula Cemetery on Monday, July 27 at 10 a.m. Arrangements were done under the direction of Funeraria del ángel Stetler Mortuary, 805-525-5595.

Ruby Christiansen Adair
1932-2009Ruby Adair, 76, died on July 11, 2009 at 3 p.m. in Santa Paula. She was born on August 27, 1932 in Norfolk, Nebraska to Dorothy (Lindsteadt) and Oscar Christiansen. She attended Christ Lutheran and Norfolk Senior High schools, graduating in 1950.Ruby moved to California in 1951, first living in Pacific Grove, then Oxnard, and upon marrying Leo Adair in 1954 lived in Santa Paula. She was employed as a bookkeeper for Watkins Hardware, F.M. Pearce Co., Shively Paint Store & Framing, and for Rancho Abuelos.Ruby was church organist for many years for Trinity Lutheran in Santa Paula, and also served at Ojai and Ventura Lutheran Churches. She was active in the LWML, taught Sunday school, and with her husband Leo was in charge of the youth group.She enjoyed watching sports on TV, football, basketball and baseball, and especially the L.A. Dodgers and the L.A. Lakers.
