Arc Ventura County was founded in 1954 by a group of teachers and parents in Santa Paula and is returning home. Arc has been providing programs, training and jobs for developmentally disabled adults at various locations throughout the county for over 45 years. Clients from Santa Paula, Fillmore and Piru have always been transported to Camarillo, Ventura or Oxnard to receive services, but for many that will end on September 13th. Pete Juarez has been hired as the Program Director for the new Heritage Valley program. A native of Saticoy, Pete grew up in the area and graduated fro Loyola-Marymount University in Los Angeles with a degree in Business Administration.“We have been working very hard to open a community based program to serve this area for over two years,” said Fred Robinson, Executive Director. “We are tailoring it to meet the needs of the clients and their families. It is also critically important that the program be embraced by the community.”The program is located at 925 E. Main Street, Suite G in Santa Paula.
