Some 40 computers were handed over to parents of students in the Santa Paula Elementary School District last week. The parents had completed training on using the computers and will take that learning home to help their children with schoolwork. (Above) District board president Tony Perez speaks to the gathering.
Glen City School Principal Raul Betancourt said, “Those who received computers today represent the willingness of our families to sacrifice for their children; to do whatever it takes to become once again the first teachers of their children.” Paradox Community Technologies receives donated computers from corporations and refurbishes them to give to selected families.
