SPESD board chooses new board president, board clerk

The Santa Paula Elementary School District has selected a new president for the next year. Police Chief Steve McKinnon administered the oath of office to Gary Marshall, who is retired from the Santa Paula Police Department. Marshall took over the middle chair from Ofelia De La Torre. Tony Perez was named as Board Clerk.The board selects new leadership each December. Traditionally, the Board Clerk is next in line to be president. The president doesn’t have any more authority than other board members but runs the monthly meetings.
