Annual dinner auction will be a magical event

By Peggy Kelly Santa Paula TimesIt’s going to be hard to make a decision on just what to bid on when the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Paula holds “A Night of Magic-Millennium Magic”, the club’s annual dinner-auction.The event, one of the most popular fund raisers in the county, will be held September 16, at the Community Center. Silent Auction action will start at 5:30 p.m. with the live auction and dinner to follow at 7 p.m.“We’ve got some wonderful auction items, each one is a winner,” said Pat Zwagerman, Executive Director of the club that serves area children and youth through various locations in Santa Paula. “It’s going to be a wonderful auction; it’s exciting and we’re really looking forward to the community’s support. . .”A day at the tony Ojai Spa for you and a friend, gourmet dinners at restaurants and at some local residents whose homes offer dazzling views, a three-day trip to gambling mecca Laughlin, Nevada, surfing lessons, a Body Glove wet suit, a mini-vacation at the wonderful Pierpont Inn, Fillmore & Western’s Christmas train including your own cut tree, Breakfast on the Nelson Farm, a Familia Diaz catered dinner for 10 (and that includes the Margaritas!), scads of theater tickets and packages, VIP Cambria Winery tasting tour, artwork of Douglas Shively, Dodger and Lakers tickets for sports lovers, Lake Isabella get away for six, airplane flights, guided fishing at Lake Piru, a year’s worth of breakfast at 12 of the county’s best eateries, Tower Club dinner and the limo to take you there, a year’s worth of flowers with each month featuring a new arrangement. . .well, you get the idea.
And that’s just SOME of the live auction items.
