Planes of Fame Air Museum will celebrate its 50th anniversary with a “Taste of Flight” gala on Saturday, October 13 starting at 5 p.m. at Chino Airport.

Planes of Fame Air Museum will celebrate its 50th anniversary with a “Taste of Flight” gala on Saturday, October 13 starting at 5 p.m. at Chino Airport. An aerial display, featuring some of the aircraft restored by Planes of Fame in its first 50 years, leads off the event.Guests will be able to taste wines from aviation-oriented vintners, while a silent auction will offer unique aviation items, and pilots who fly the restored aircraft will answer questions during the pre-dinner activities. Spaggi’s of Upland and its Chef Henry Gonzales will cater the event. A live auction will follow the dinner.“The Taste of Flight proceeds will support our educational programs, aircraft restoration efforts and capital projects, including the library expansion and a theatre,” said Karen Hinton, director of development. “We are grateful for the individuals and companies that have stepped forward to serve as sponsors, auction donors and wine tasting sponsors.”Hinton added, “This should be a wonderful and memorable evening for everyone who attends.” The Taste of Flight is limited to 250 guests. Tables of 10 are available for $5,000 or $2,500, while individuals can participate for $250 each.
