Tekla F. Sturm Tekla F. Sturm, age 77, of Santa Paula, passed away after a lengthy illness at her home.She was born in St. Phillips, Montana on October 5, 1922, and was a resident of Santa Paula since 1972. She was a member of St. Sebastian Church, and had previously resided in Ventura.She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Herbert D. Sturm; two sons, Darrell C. Sturm and his wife Melody and family of Clyde Park, Montana, and James E. Sturm and his wife Kathy and family of Sparks, Nevada; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brother Harry and his wife Clara of Townsend, Montana; three sisters, Sevrena Parker, Gertrude O’Conner and Lorraine Freeman, all of Livingston, Montana; and close friends of 50 years, George and Marrian and family of Camarillo.Her ashes will be inurned at Livingston, Montana. In lieu of flowers, gift donations may be made to Assisted Home Hospice, 2140 Eastman Ave., Ventura, CA 93003, or to the American Cancer Society, 3737 Telegraph Rd. #D, Ventura, CA 93003, or to your favorite charity.Arrangements are under the direction of Pierce Brothers Stetler Mortuary, Santa Paula.Lucy Lucile Lucking
Lucy Lucile Lucking, age 79, of Santa Paula, passed away June 19, 2000 following a lengthy illness.Mrs. Lucking was born October 11, 1920 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and was a county resident for 20 years, coming from Michigan. She worked for 20 years as a nurse’s aide.She is survived by her daughters, Ellan Fournier of Santa Paula, and Linda (husband Tom) Lyon of Peculiar, Missouri; son Bill (wife Sigrid) Lucking of Pasadena; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and sister Helen Louthan of Kalamazoo, MI.Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 8th at 10 a.m. at the Santa Paula Cemetery.Arrangements are under the direction of Skillin-Carroll Mortuary, Santa Paula.
