Jesus J. Johnson
Jesus J. Johnson, age 83, of Santa Paula, died Sunday, February 6, 2000 in Santa Paula following a brief illness.
Mr. Johnson was born November 29, 1916 and was a 75 year county resident, coming from El Paso, Texas. He was a longshoreman working for ILWU Local 46 before retiring in 1992. His favorite pastime was fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Maria; sons, Gilbert, Robert and Reuben Johnson, all of Santa Paula; stepsons, Javier Puga of Santa Paula and Alfredo Puga of Los Angeles; stepdaughter Olivia Puga of Santa Paula; and numerous grandchildren.
Funeral mass was celebrated February 10 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Santa Paula, with burial following at Pierce Brothers Santa Paula Cemetery.
Arrangements under the direction of Pierce Brothers Stetler Mortuary, Santa Paula.
Betty Suzanne Cramer Bohannon
Betty Suzanne Cramer Bohannon, age 52, of Santee, CA died at home February 5, 2000. Betty was born August 8, 1947 in Herlong, CA. She had her right leg amputated in November 1994 because of cancer, and put up a valiant fight for five years. She was under the care of San Diego Hospice.
Betty attended Conejo School in Thousand Oaks, and graduated from Oxnard High School in 1965. She was a realtor for Coldwell Banker in and around the San Diego area for 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Walter and May Myer of Oxnard. She is survived by her mother, Madelyn Sue Myer Cramer of Santee; father George D. Cramer Sr. of Redding; brother George D. Cramer Jr. and wife Cathy of Dublin, CA; brother Andrew S. Cramer of Bremerton, Washington; uncle and aunt, Walter and Betty Myer of Camarillo; uncle and aunt, Albert and Betty Marple of Port Hueneme; nieces, Karen Carter, Jennifer and Katie Sue, and nephews, Jonathon and Paul Cramer, all of Dublin; and numerous cousins, all of whom she dearly loved.
A private family memorial service will be held.
Antonio Rivera Pineda, Sr.
Antonio Rivera Pineda, Sr., age 73, of Santa Paula, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2000. Mr. Pineda was born June 18, 1926 in Phoenix, Arizona and was a 55 year resident of Santa Paula.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Margaret Pineda of Santa Paula; his children, Steve and wife Joesy Pineda of Hayward, Tony Jr. and wife Margaret Pineda, Emily Acosta, Albert Pineda, Theresa Pineda, Tommy Pineda and Danny Pineda, all of Santa Paula, Dolores and husband Jose Sumaran of Victorville, and Marissa Pineda of Santa Paula; grandchildren, Corporal Jacob J. Avila, Ernesto Acosta, Eileen Montano, Manuel Escamilla, Leonard Prado, Stephanie Prado, Isaac Sumaran, Anthony Pineda, Robert Vega, Anthony Pineda III, Steven Pineda II, Stephanie Pineda, Valentina Pineda, Jade Pineda and Georgie Iniestra; six great grandchildren, Leandra Montano, Ramiro Montano, Seth Escamilla, Christian Vega, Anthony Cruz Pineda and Matthew Sanchez; and brothers, Albino and wife Naomi Pineda of Santa Paula, and Manuel Pineda of Texas.
Mr. Pineda was preceded in death by his parents, Emilio Pineda and Dolores Rivera Pineda, and by his sisters, Josephine Rabago, Dolores Zavala and Lucy Chavez, and his brother Isidro Pineda.
Services for Mr. Pineda were held Monday, February 7 at El Buen Pastor United Methodist Church. Burial was at Pierce Brothers Santa Paula Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Pierce Brothers Stetler Mortuary, Santa Paula.
