Three Santa Paula juveniles - one already listed by police as missing by his family - were arrested after an armed robbery of a Harvard Boulevard eatery on Saturday night, according to a Santa Paula Police Department official.
The incident occurred at a restaurant located in the shopping center at 110 West Harvard Boulevard, said SPPD Agt. Jimmy Fogata.
On Feb. 5th at approximately 8:05 p.m., SPPD officers responded to a call of a possible robbery in progress inside one of the shopping center’s small restaurants. The three suspects had approached the cashier who was sitting at a table, brandished the gun and demanded money.
Upon arrival, SPPD Officer Jamey Maclellan observed three males matching the description of the suspects running from the restaurant.
“After a short foot pursuit, Officer Maclellan detained two of the suspects,” said Agt. Fogata. “A third suspect was also observed fleeing the area and after a short foot pursuit he was detained by Officer Kenneth Clark. . .and the handgun used in the robbery was recovered.”
All three of the suspects were identified by witnesses and arrested for armed robbery. The suspects, all juveniles and unidentified, were later booked into Ventura County Juvenile Hall.
SPPD Commander Mark Hanson said one of the three suspects had been listed by his family as a missing juvenile, “so he’s no longer missing. . .”
The investigation is continuing, Commander Hanson added.
