Halloween Parade Saturday
October 27, 2004
Santa Paula News
The annual Halloween Parade, sponsored by the Santa Paula Optimist Club, will be held Saturday, October 30. All children preschool through 6th grade are invited to be part of the parade. There is no cost to enter. Children should arrive in costume by 9 a.m. at Ebell Park (7th and Main Street). Judging will occur at 9:30 a.m. sharp for all groups of school-aged children (preschool children will be judged this year for a ribbon only). The parade will begin at 10 a.m. The parade route begins at Ebell Park, then goes east down Main Street, then right on Mill Street, ending at Veterans Park. The Kiwanis Club is donating candy, which they will pass out to all parade participants at Veterans Park. This is the tenth year the parade has been sponsored by the Optimist Club. The Optimist Club, “Friend of Youth,” sponsors many activities for youth in our community. If you are interested in working at the parade, contact Patrick Cunningham at 650-9492.
