Arnie (Arnold Jay) Richman our dad, son, brother, grandfather passed away suddenly on Sunday December 4, 2016 at Ventura County Medical Center.

He joins his father Harry Richman,  mother Sylvia Richman, and brother Sander Richman. Arnie will be remembered by his son, Matthew Richman (Rommie Richman); his daughter and her husband, Abra Richman Clark and James Clark; his son Manuel Escamilla; his brother Dennis Richman; and his grandchildren Kasandra “Celeste” Ramirez, Romelia Ruthe Richman, Matthew “Mateo” Jay Richman, Brecken James Clark, and Oden Daniel Clark.

He helped start T-Ball in Santa Paula and also served as commissioner of AYSO for several years.

After his retirement from the California Youth Authority he spent his time traveling the world.

In the past few years he was a volunteer at Food Share in Ventura.

He was always the first one at any garage sale, estate sale or swap meet.

Despite his birth in Chicago, spending 50+ years as a California resident inspired his signature look of shorts and sandals- no matter the weather.

As a business owner, tennis player, and bike rider he never met a stranger.

A celebration of his life will be at Funeraria Del Angel Stetler Mortuary 128 S. 8th St., Santa Paula, CA 93060 Saturday, December 17, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Per family request, casual dress, no black or collar shirts. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his honor to Food Share at foodshare.com.
