Betty June Rhodes
Betty June Rhodes passed away on April 1, 2016 in Ventura, California at the age of 84
Betty was born on May 27, 1931 in Kansas City, Missouri to Roy and Reva Barton.
She came to Port Hueneme with her family and later moved to Santa Paula where she attended grammar school, junior high school and graduated in 1950 from Santa Paula High School.
On January 20, 1951 Betty married James W. Rhodes. Recently celebrating 65 years of marriage. She was employed by J. C. Penney in Santa Paula, Port Hueneme Naval Base and other local businesses in Santa Paula. She retired in the mid 1980s from Westland Construction.
She is preceded in death by her youngest son Jeffery Rhodes, parents Roy and Reva Barton and brother Clifford Barton.
She is survived by her husband James Rhodes of Santa Paula, Denise McConica (Tom), Wayne Rhodes (JoAnn) and daughter in law Kristy Rhodes. Her grandchildren Katy McConica-Morris (Ron), Brennen Rhodes (Christina), Meghan Rhodes and Cassidy Rhodes, Nicole Radziewicz and great granddaughter Danika Radziewicz.
Other survivors include brothers and sisters Virginia Milam, Gloria Roose, Bill Barton, Steven Barton and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Graveside services will be held on Monday April 11th at 2:00 pm at Santa Paula Cemetery followed by a reception at The United Methodist Church Wesley Hall 133 N. Mill Street, Santa Paula.
