(Maxwell) Eaton
Joy and sorrow mingle in our hearts as we, the children of Lynn Lee (Maxwell) Eaton, share that on March 18th, God took our mama by the hand, and announced, “Lynn, it’s time for you to come home with me!” In that moment she joyfully left behind a body that had suffered greatly with asthma, lupus, and, as she would often say, “a body that’s not getting any younger!”
This was on the last note she wrote. 1 Thessalonians 4:13 ...we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 17... And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.
Our beautiful mom was born in Bakersfield CA, on April 3, 1935, the oldest child of Robert and Alyce (Maggie) Maxwell. After graduating in 1953 from Fillmore High she married her sweetheart, John Eaton.
From 1963–1975, our family went to the Philippines as missionaries with New Tribes Mission. We lived on a mountain top, surrounded by the Kalanguya tribal people. There was no running water or electricity. Mom cooked on a wood stove, sewed our clothes on an old treadle machine and at night read to us by lantern light. Life was good!
Mom’s greatest joys were studying and teaching the Bible, talking to and lunching with friends, working on puzzles, playing the piano, sharing life with her kids, and especially, being a grand and great-grandmother. She is deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Robert, she’s survived by her sisters Jen (and Dick) Fredericksen of Camarillo, Karen Maxwell, and brother Mike Maxwell of Bakersfield, son, Gary (and Kellie) Eaton of Newcastle, Australia; daughters Leah (and Peter) Humphreys of Ontario, Canada; and Tami (and Charlie) Rutledge of Camarillo, her beloved12 grandchildren and 26 ? great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider giving a love gift toward fulfilling Lynn’s wish, that family from around the world might be together as we say good-bye.

The memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 26 at 2:00 p.m. at LifeWay Baptist Church, 673 W Santa Paula St, Santa Paula, CA.
