Ventura Police seek three men in attack on Santa Paula resident

A 31-year-old Santa Paula man was assaulted and robbed by three men outside a Ventura liquor store Wednesday.

According to the Ventura Police Department officers responded December 30 to the Red Barn Liquor Store, located in the 1200 block of North Ventura Avenue about 6:30 p.m. to the report of a robbery outside the store.

When officers arrived at the scene the unidentified victim, a resident of Santa Paula, told Ventura Police that three Hispanic men had approached him outside the liquor store and demanded money.

Once they obtained money the suspects then attacked the victim by punching and kicking him before they fled the area on foot. The victim suffered  non-life threatening injuries in the attack.

Ventura Police reported the three suspects were described as Hispanic male adults, between 25-30 years of age, ranging in height from 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall, and each weighing between 180-200 pounds. All suspects were wearing dark clothing and one of them — described as having a heavy build — was reportedly wearing a Dodgers cap.
