A Ventura County Superior Court jury Wednesday found a Santa Paula man guilty of two felony counts of unlawful acts with a child under 10 years old.

Anastacio Ramirez, 44, was also found guilty of one felony count of continuous sexual abuse. The trial for Ramirez, who was arrested in December 2014, lasted almost a week and the jury took nearly two days of deliberation before returning a verdict.

Ramirez was found guilty of having sexual intercourse with the victim starting when she was 11 years old to the time she was 13 years old.

Ramirez later discussed the abuse in conversations recorded by investigators.

Ramirez faces a maximum prison sentence of 62-years to life in prison when he is sentenced January 8.
