    Thelma Jean Helton Colvard 

    Thelma Jean Helton Colvard – passed away on August 20, 2015. 

    “Jeannie” was  born in Modena, Mercer County, Missouri to parents Ovel Glen Helton and Marie Henry.

     She married Curtis Colvard on May 3, 1952 at Quartzsite, Arizona. 

    Shortly thereafter, they moved to Santa Paula.  

    Their children are Kevin Colvard of Sonora, CA, Forest Colvard of Santa Paula, CA and Patricia Moon of Golden Valley, Arizona.

    Jeannie accepted Christ as her savior at The Church of Christ while living in Santa Paula.  

     Surviving siblings are Doris Atchley of Novinger, Missouri, Maxine Cowan of Macon, Missouri and Pam (Ken) Lindsey of Novinger, Missouri.

    Step-mother Bernice Osborn Helton of Kirksville, Missouri. Grandchildren: Shawnae (Ofer) Ivan, Tiffney (Gabriel) De Amicis, Christopher Colvard and Nicole (Garrett) Johnson.  Great-Grandchildren: Audri, Nathan, Madison, Brandi & Ryder.  

     Preceded in death by husband, Curtis Colvard, parents Ovel G. Helton and Marie Henry,  brother, Rodney G. Helton of Kirksville, brother in laws, Don Atchley of Novinger and Donald Cowan of Macon, Missouri.
