A couple of dozen children from a Los Angeles neighborhood visited Santa Paula’s two museums recently. They were part of the Learning Zone, which meets at Westside Vineyard Christian Fellowship. The Learning Zone is an after-school program that assists families by providing tutoring, field trips and other special gatherings throughout the school year. This trip to the Ag Museum and the Santa Paula Oil Museum was one of those trips. Volunteer Bob Crave said that, on the way home they were taking the kids to the Fillmore Fish Hatchery. He added that they brought the children here because of his long-time friendship with Santa Paula residents Ed and Norma Geis.
