After a two-year hiatus, Santa Paula High School hosted a College & Career Fair on Friday, February 13. Over 500 students visited more than 40 information booths on campus presented by local and regional representatives from colleges, universities, and trade schools.

“The College and Career Fair is a great opportunity for our students to investigate their pathway to the future,” said Glenda Learn, the College and Career Specialist at Santa Paula High School. “It’s enjoyable to see the different careers represented for students to see if that is something that they would want to pursue.”

The high school students were able to ask questions about different careers as well as the types of academic majors offered and/or required to fulfill those careers.

Vincente Guerrero, an alumni of Santa Paula High School, traveled from Fresno, Calif. to attend the College and Career Fair as a representative of the State of California’s Department of Justice Bureau of Forensic services. He is a Latent Print Analyst. The students enjoyed his presentation and were given an outside view to the world they are about to enter. “We thank him [Guerrero] and our other presenters for coming to our fair,” said Learn.

The College and Career Fair is held once a year in February. For more information, please contact Glenda Learn at 805-525-4400, ext. 9030.
