    Mary Curtis Monje 

    Mary Curtis Monje was born on February 1, 1924 in Marfa, Texas. She passed away after a long illness on January 16 .2015, at the age of 90 in her sons home Ruben Monje in Riverside, CA,

     Mary Monje was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Able Monje and daughter Mary Lou Angulo, and siblings, Lupe, Tony, Tom, Frank, Oscar, Bill, & John Curtis.

     Mary is survived by her sons Ruben (Maggie) Monje,  Bobby (Sherry) Monje and her daughters Sally(Phillip) Tovar, Betty(Tobias) Sanchez, Judy Monje & Jane Valdes. She is also survived by her 17 Grandchildren, 36  Great grandchildren & 17 great-great grandchildren.

     Prayer: Broken Chain:

    We little knew that morning  that God was going to call your name.

    In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same.

    It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone,

    For part of us went with you the day God called you home.

    You left us peaceful memories,  your love is still our guide,

    And though we cannot see you, you are always by our side.

    Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

     We will miss you Mom!

     A rosary will be held Friday, Jauary 30, 2015 at 9:30 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 427 North Oak Street Santa Paula, CA, Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church 427 North Oak Street Santa Paula Ca, with Father Charles Lueras C.R.I.C. officiating Interment will follow at Pierce Brothers Santa Paula Cemetery 380 Cemetery Road. Santa Paula, Ca.
