    Barbara Florence Roina

    Barbara passed away suddenly in her home on January 21, 2015.

    During her lifetime, Barbara was employed as a civilian with the Navy during World War II, Security Pacific Bank, and the Ventura Unified School District at Cabrillo High School. She was very proud of her position as a legal secretary with Judge Beach until his retirement. Although she retired, she supported her husband, Edward Roina in the music department at Santa Paula High School. Barbara was honored as a Woman in History by the Historical Society of Santa Paula as a direct descendant of Clarence Marshall, a farmer in Wheeler Canyon.

    Barbara leaves behind her children, Joe (Darlene) Roina, Paula (Jim) Stoltman and Lisa (Del) De La Rosa. In addition, one brother Richard Marshall, five grandchildren; Ben, James, Peter, Jennifer and Daniel, along with great grandchildren; Blake, Jackson, West and Taylor. Preceding her was her husband, Edward Roina, her son Edward Roina Jr., her parents, Clarence and Florence Marshall, her brother and sister, Frank Marshall and Marie Nisbet and her grandsons Eric Taylor and Brian Roina.

    The family would like to thank the caregivers for their loving care and compassion. Our celebration of Barbara’s life will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Sebastian Church, 235 N. 9th Street, Santa Paula. Burial will follow. Private service at Santa Paula Cemetery.
