Roberto B. Gonzalez 

Roberto B. Gonzalez passed away peacefully at home on January 19, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He lived a full life and will be dearly missed by all.

 He was born in Ventura, CA on March 8, 1927 to Alberto and Martha Gonzales. He met the love of his life, Audelia, in Mexico. They later returned to the States and settled in California where they shared their life together for the next 66 years. He often spoke of his adventures of traveling throughout California seeking employment opportunities. While in California, his adventures only continued and his family began to grow and grow. As one can imagine, his life centered on his 12 children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren but he also made time for some of his favorite hobbies. He enjoyed spending hours tending his garden, raising chickens and roosters with his brother, Manuel, attending Mexican soccer games on Sundays with his compadres, and watching his beloved Los Angeles Dodgers.

 He will be greatly missed by family including his sons, Richard, Rudy, Alfonso and Henry; his daughters, Griselda Gonzales, Rachel Buenrostro, Esther Contreras, Anita Ziegeler, Susie Carr, Margaret Gonzalez, and Jennie Dillon; son in laws Alfred Buenrostro, Sammy Contreras, Dwayne Ziegeler, John Pecora and Dustin Dillon; daughter in law, Christine Gonzales, and Tammy Gonzales; grandsons, Alfred Buenrostro Jr., Gabriel Buenrostro, Richard Gonzales, Jr., David Gonzales, Gregory Ziegeler, Ted Carr, Jr., and Brandon Carr; granddaughters, Jennifer Gonzales, Alicia Gonzales, Eileen Curiel  and Lauren Lynch, and every other near and dear family member.

 He will always be remembered as a great provider for his family and friends. He had a passion for entertaining and loved bringing people together to enjoy a good time. To all who knew Roberto, thank you for your kindness and friendship. Roberto wished for us all to remain strong and his family intends to follow his wishes and lead by his example.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., at Saint Sebastian Catholic Church in Santa Paula, Ca. with Farther. Thomas Dome, C.R.I.C. officiating Inurnment will follow at Pierce brothers Santa Paula Cemetery.
