Javier Ricardo Rodriguez, age 61, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2014, in San Salvador, El Salvador. 

Javier was born on August 30, 1953, in the municipality of Suchitoto, Cuscatlan department of El Salvador. In 1986, he earned his theology credentials from Facultad de Teologia (Faculty of Theology) in Montebello, C.A. He then served the city of Santa Paula by sharing his love of Christ as the Senior Pastor of Templo de Milagros for nine years. During his pastoral career, he established and owned a Christian bookstore, Pan de Vida and could regularly be heard as the radio host for the Christian broadcast Radio Nueva Vida, KMRO, FM 90.3. This allowed him to lead many individuals to the Lord and support their spiritual growth on-air and in person. Javier extended his hand to the less fortunate by providing them with meals, rides, clothes, toys and emergency assistance. He enjoyed listening and dancing to music of all genres, reading, and walking. 

Javier is survived by his sons Robert and Javier R., daughters Paty, Ruth, Rebekah, Vivian, Norma, and Glenda, his high school sweetheart Teresa, mother-Berta, 5 brothers, 8 sisters, and 12 grandchildren. His son Javier A., brother Edwin, and father Antonio preceded him in his death. 

Javier will be remembered as a friendly, charismatic, and outgoing man.
