Keeping a long-standing tradition alive, Isbell Middle School had their annual Turkey Trot race last week.
Students from each grade level competed against each other to win a turkey for Thanksgiving dinner. Every year teachers have donated more turkeys than needed so additional birds are given to families in need.
This year, Dr. Jeff Robinson from the Ventura County Medical Center learned of the event and asked if the hospital could assist in any way. Dr. Robinson, in conjunction with VCMC then donated 20 turkeys.
