SPPD: Victim of Thanksgiving night stabbing uncooperative, info sought

Santa Paula Police are asking the public tohelp in providing information about a Thanksgiving Day stabbing after a man was found lying in a front yard of a residence near Teague Park.

According to SPPD Senior Officer Dan Potter, the incident was reported Thursday, November 27 at approximately 7:50 p.m.

“Santa Paula Officers responded to a report of a stabbing with the victim lying in the front yard of a residence in the 300 block of Princeton Street,” south of Casabella Court.

Upon arrival police found 23-year-old Christopher Sigala, of Santa Paula, lying in the yard of the residence with a “single stab wound to his upper front torso... “

Sigala, whom police have made contact with in the past, was uncooperative with information about the stabbing.

He did tell SPPD Officers that the attack occurred in the area of Teague Park, which fronts West Harvard Boulevard and is bordered by the 500 block of West Santa Anna Street. 

After being treated on the scene by Santa Paula Fire EMTs and ambulance paramedics Sigala was transported to an area hospital.

Potter noted SPPD Investigators, “were unable to locate a specific crime scene or cooperative witnesses,” that would help determine the circumstances of the stabbing attack, including a suspect(s).
