Santa Clara Valley Wellness Foundation receives award

The Workforce Investment Board of Ventura County has awarded The Santa Clara Valley Wellness Foundation the Youth Opportunity award for providing internships or employment opportunities that will strengthen Ventura County’s workforce. The Foundation received this award for their innovative program, the Dr. Sam’s Summer Health Internship Program. This is a six week paid summer job at Santa Paula Hospital and Clinics for six high school juniors or seniors. The third year of this program starts June 16th. If you would like to donate to the Foundation in support of the interns, checks may be mailed to P. O Box 348, Santa Paula, CA 93061.
