By Peggy Kelly Santa Paula Times Santa Paula Police are asking the public’s help in finding a suspect who burglarized a pharmacy early Monday taking an undisclosed amount of medication.

According to Sgt. Jeremy Watson, police were notified March 10 at 2:35 a.m. that a burglar alarm at The Medicine Shopped, located in the 400 block of Ojai Road near Virginia Terrace, had been activated.

“Upon arrival officers observed that the glass in the entry door to the business was shattered,” and Watson said when they made entry there was no suspect inside.

But, he added, “An unknown amount of prescription medication was taken from the business by the suspect who appeared to be alone.”

Officers reviewed video surveillance but could not identify the burglar, who was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and gloves.

In addition, “It appeared the suspect was wearing some sort of a mask to conceal his or her face... “
