Answering the call of duty at the age of 18, Chuck helped secure our freedom while serving in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Pacific arena as a squad leader, helped in leading the seizure of the Mariana Island, Saipan and Okinawa.

Chuck was an extraordinary loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all; he was very humorous, understanding, compassionate, generous man. Anyone who met him would attest to his warm heart and gentle nature. He will always be remembered for his charm, patriotism, and always greet you with a “howdy”. If he didn’t remember your name you were affectionately known as “George”.

Chuck was a true blue Dodger fan, attending games with his family or on a chartered bus with friends, dancing with his wife at functions, building block walls with friends, coaching his son’s baseball team, camping, and growing his tomatoes with his neighbor Bill. But the most fulfillments came from his grandchildren which he cherished deeply until his last days. They always knew “grandpa” would be there for them.

The memories that Chuck leaves his family and friends will be forever lasting.
