Hot Summer Jazz and Art

The “Hot Summer Jazz and Art” event is schedule this year for Saturday, July 13th from 6:30 PM - 10 PM and you are invited to submit an entry to participate!
Hot Summer Jazz and Art is a FREE jazz concert and art show in historic downtown Santa Paula. Returning this year, Bryan McCann and Friends will be our hugely popular band combined with al fresco dining from our downtown restaurants, and you - the artists! This event is in its 6th year, and we expect 500-600 guests who appreciate fine art and great music.
The Santa Paula Downtown Merchants’ Association and the Best of VC Marketplace invite local artists to submit an entry for possible selection by the Artist Selection Committee. Each selected artist will have a 10’ x 10’ space provided to them on Main St., which will be closed to through traffic. Electricity will also be provided. Booth space is free; however, there is a 20% commission on all sales, which goes directly to the Downtown Merchants Assn. to support this event. All sales and sales tax collection will be handled by the Downtown Merchants’ Assn and Best of VC. Also, please know that:
*Selected artists must attend their exhibits
*All work must be created by the artist
*All work must be for sale
*Artist is responsible for entire booth setup, including extension cords and lights. Artists are provided with the space only, and power is at junctions approximately every other booth, requiring extension cords.
To enter:
Send your name, address, phone number, email and up to 3 images of your work via PDF to talia@bestofvc.com. Please also include the general category of your work, ex. oil paintings, photography, glass art, sculpture, jewelry, etc. Decorative and functional art of all types will be considered, and we will select a well-rounded mix of mediums for the event for our guests to enjoy and hopefully, buy, buy, buy! Deadline for applications is June 22nd, 2013.
Artists will abide by the decision of the Artist Selection Committee. Artists agree to release the Santa Paula Downtown Merchants’ Association, the Best of VC Marketplace, participating organizations and sponsors from any responsibility, personal liability, claims, loss or damage arising out of their participation in the Hot Summer Jazz and Art event.
