Chris lived here at the Santa Paulan senior apartments. We will be having a memorial get together on May 18th from 1 to 3 in the rec room. Come reminisce with us. Bring your caricature to share a memory in memory of Chris Martinez.

Chris Martinez passed away last week, after being ill for the last six months.
Chris was a great artist and a great caricaturist. He taught art at Ventura College, where some of his murals adorn the gym. He did a wonderful mural of the Virgin de Guadalupe for the Catholic church, Guadalupe Church in Oxnard. He also did wonderful portraits, but his best works were his caricatures of everyone he met. Most were hilarious, as he had a great sense of humor.
