Christina was born July 24, 1928, to Pablo and Juana Castor in Santa Paula, California, the youngest of seven children.
Christina, a homemaker, was a lifelong resident of Santa Paula and had an unwavering faith in God that she shared with her family. Her daily dedication was the driving force behind her family.
She was happiest when surrounded by her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed sharing her meals and recipes with family and friends. With a zest for life, she enjoyed baking, camping, shopping and trips to Laughlin. Throughout her life, she maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many. Her kindness and generosity will never be forgotten.
The family is deeply grateful to Livingston Memorial Hospice for their compassion and gentle care.
Christina is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Oscar B. Medrano; sons, Oscar Medrano, Jr. (Marilyn) of Santa Paula, Alex Medrano (Joann) of Bedford, Indiana; daughters, Elaine Duran (Edward) of Camarillo, and Norma Medrano (Jesse Terrazas) of Santa Paula; nine grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 8 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 235 N. 9th Street, Santa Paula, CA 93060. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 9, also at St. Sebastian Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Santa Paula Cemetery.
