It is spring in and your garden could use some fresh color.

Why not take a beautiful drive up scenic highway 150 to fill your garden with fuchsias, hibiscus, begonias and more? Summit Elementary School is hosting a plant sale on Friday, May 3, 3 to 6 pm. Attendees are also welcome to tour the school garden and edible forest.

All plants are donated by area nurseries or grown from seeds by parents. Funds raised go directly to the Summit Parent Teacher Organization and are used to fund teacher aides, playground enhancements, enrichment activities and technology upgrades at the small school in a true country setting that in 2012 celebrated it’s hundredth year.

Prices start at $1 for the seedlings. Unique flowers and trees - including avocado, tangerine, Bay laurel and more- are available. Come early for the best selection.

Summit School is located at 12525 Ojai-Santa Paula Road (hwy 150) just minutes past Thomas Aquinas College. Come on up to the Summit! For more information visit www.summitschoolpto.blogspot.com
