Korean War ceremony to be held on Saturday at Veterans Park

You are cordially invited to attend the 59th anniversary of the ending of the Korean War at a ceremony to be held on Saturday, July 28.
This ceremony is free of charge and your attendance is welcomed.
The Korean War Veterans Chapter #56 will be conducting a complete burial ceremony to honor our Korean war dead, as well as those veterans who were fortunate enough to come home alive, but have since passed away. Come and enjoy the ceremony and bring a patio chair so you may enjoy the ceremony in comfort.
Last year’s relatives and friends of our deceased veterans honored the following veterans by purchasing a wreath or flowers: Herman Villa, David Viramontes, John Godina, Manuel Rodriguez, Hector Borrego, Richard Lopez, George Torrez, Lupe Prado, Abe Castro, David Salas, Fernando Martinez, Ezquiel Sanchez, Samuel Maki, Manuel Mendez, Tony Soto, Willis Smith, Theodore Rabago, David Morua, Anselmo Bouvet, Ruben Renteria, Oscar Bouvet, Rudy Solis, Raymond Solis, Les McGill, Arthur Husband. Also wreaths were dedicated to the First Marine Div, Korean War Veterans Western Region and K.W.V.A. Chapter #56.
You too can participate in our ceremony by honoring a father, husband, brother, son, or a friend that served during the Korean War. Remember we are also honoring those veterans that were fortunate enough to come home alive, but who are now deceased. Because it is up to us, the living to remember those deceased veterans for their service to our country.
If you would like to honor your loved one and cannot be present to do so, we will be more than happy to do that for you. Please contact Richard Ruiz at 525-3737 to let him know who you wish to honor. Wreaths cost $28 and flowers cost $16. Make your checks payable to K.W.V.A. Chapter #56 and send them to 3850 W. 180th Place, Torrance, CA 90504.
