SPESD board marks Veteran’s Day at Tuesday meeting

The Santa Paula Elementary School District board celebrated Veteran’s Day at their Tuesday meeting. Blanchard School Outreach Coordinator Rey Frutos, a Vietnam veteran, came in full uniform to the meeting and brought along several students to help mark the event.

Students participating were Mireille Vargas, Blake Whittaker, Cristian Tapia, Gerardo Lazo, Jesse Villa, Sydnee Isom, Stephanie Covarrubias, Jazlyne Ramirez, Alan Romero and Elizabeth Tinajero. Board President Tony Urias presented each child with a certificate of appreciation.
