Reynolds said, “Out of all the people, passengers and such in the vehicles, Ms. Guerrero was the only injury... she and everybody else involved in the accident were wearing shoulder and seat belts, everybody had their stuff on. The big difference with the shoulder harness and seats belts - you can roll your vehicle and still walk away from it.”No one was cited for the accident, which Reynolds said is under investigation.

Santa Paula TimesA multi-vehicle accident on Ojai-Santa Paula Road/Hwy 150 that included a rollover resulted in only one injury, a testament, according to a Santa Paula Police Department spokesman, to using safety belts and harnesses. SPPD Lieutenant Troyce Reynolds said the accident that “just made a mess up there” occurred Tuesday, June 16 at about 6:20 p.m.Jamie Johnson, 36, of Santa Paula, was driving southbound in a Honda Accord when he slowed to make a left turn onto Say Road. Kelly Morehart, 42, of Fillmore, was also traveling southbound in a Ford pickup truck and “thought she would get around him,” an action, said Reynolds, that resulted in “clipping Johnson’s vehicle on the right rear” of his car.“It pushed him forward into the oncoming traffic just a little bit, but enough that” a Jeep Cherokee driven by Marco Cadena, 37, of Santa Paula, “clipped the Honda Accord that the Ford pickup pushed into the oncoming lane,” causing the Jeep to roll over. Carmen Guerrero, 59, of Santa Paula, a passenger in the Jeep, complained of pain in the back and neck area and was transported to Santa Paula Hospital for treatment.
